We do not collect or store personal content or sensitive personal information.
- Food diary entries and notes — stored locally on your device only
- Photos you add — images remain on your device
- Audio or voice recordings — none are collected
- Personal identification information — no name, email address, or phone number
- Location data — we do not track your physical location
Your food memories stay private and under your control.
Anonymous Analytics We Collect
To improve the app experience, we collect limited anonymous usage data. This data cannot be used to identify you.
- Subscription-related events (view and purchase events only)
- Onboarding completion rates and step duration
- Food diary session duration (without any written content)
- Food interaction data (e.g., viewed or marked-as-tried dishes, without notes or photos)
- General app usage patterns and feature engagement
How We Use Anonymous Data
Anonymous analytics help us to:
- Improve food discovery and browsing experience
- Optimize onboarding flow
- Understand which features are most useful
- Improve performance and fix technical issues
- Make informed decisions about future features
We never use analytics data for advertising or profiling.
Data Storage and Security
- All personal food diary content is stored exclusively on your device
- No diary text, photos, or personal content is transmitted to our servers
- Anonymous analytics data is processed by Firebase Analytics
- Firebase uses industry-standard security measures
- Your device’s built-in security protects all local data
- Deleting the app removes all locally stored content
iCloud Backup & Restore (Apple)
If you enable iCloud device backup, Apple may automatically back up your local app data.
- iCloud backups are managed entirely by Apple under your iCloud settings
- We do not control or have access to iCloud backups
- You can manage or delete backups via
Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > Manage Storage
Manual Backup & Restore
K-Food Hunters allows you to manually back up and restore your data using ZIP files.
- Backups are created only when you explicitly initiate the action
- Backup files are saved locally to a location you choose on your device
- Backup files may contain your food diary entries, notes, and associated metadata
- Backup files are not transmitted to our servers
- We do not have access to, store, or process your backup files
You are responsible for managing, storing, and protecting your backup files.
Restoring data from a backup replaces the existing local data on your device.
What Leaves Your Device
- Content requests: The app may fetch food metadata, categories, or featured content from Firebase. No personal diary data is sent.
- In-App Purchases: Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple. We receive subscription status and entitlement verification only — not payment details.
- Affiliate links: If you tap an external shopping link (e.g., Amazon), you will be redirected to the third-party website. We do not receive information about your purchases.
Your Rights and Choices
- Delete your data: Delete the app to remove all locally stored content
- Backup & restore: You can manually back up and restore your data using local ZIP files.
- Limit analytics: You may restrict analytics through your device’s privacy settings (where available)
- Export your data: Food diary entries can be exported using in-app tools (where available)
- Data portability: You may transfer your data to another device using device-level tools such as backups
- Control: Your food diary and notes remain private and fully under your control
Third-Party Services
K-Food Hunters uses the following third-party services:
- Firebase Analytics — anonymous usage analytics only
- Apple In-App Purchase — subscription processing
- App Store / Google Play — app distribution and usage statistics
All third-party services operate under their own privacy policies and use industry-standard security practices.
We never sell your data to third parties.
Children’s Privacy
- K-Food Hunters is not intended for children under the age of 13
- We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13
- No personal content is collected from any users
- We comply with applicable children’s privacy protection laws

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
- Significant changes will be communicated within the app or on our website
- Continued use of the app after updates indicates acceptance of the revised policy
